فما هي أبرز وأهم المحطات اللافتة في مسيرة وحياة السفيرة جونسون؟
_تعود أصولها الى من ولاية فرجينيا. تخرجت من مدرسة إساكوه الثانوية في منطقة إساكوه بواشنطن عام 1985.
_ حاصلة على درجة الماجستير في استراتيجية الأمن القومي من الكلية الحربية الوطنية دفعة 2010، وماجستير في الشؤون الدولية من جامعة كولومبيا، بالإضافة إلى درجة البكالوريوس من جامعة ستانفورد في العلوم السياسية والاقتصاد.
_ تجيد التحدّث بالفرنسية والبرتغالية.
_ من هواياتها المشي لمسافات طويلة والغولف والتجديف على الألواح.
الحياة المهنية
_تعمل حالياً كنائب مساعد نائب وزير الخارجية. بعد أن كانت كنائب مساعد وزير في المكتب الدولي للمخدرات وشؤون إنفاذ القانون.
_في 13 شباط / فبراير 2023، رشحها الرئيس جو بايدن لتكون السفير القادم في لبنان.
_ تولت منصب نائب القائد ومستشار الشؤون الدولية بالكلية الحربية الوطنية.
_من العام 2018 إلى العام 2021 عملت سفيرة لبلادها لدى ناميبيا (رُشحت في هذا المنصب من قبل إدارة دونالد ترامب).
ومن العام 2014 حتى العام 2017 في منصب القائم بالأعمال في سفارة الولايات المتحدة في ناساو – جزر البهاما.
_شملت مناصبها الخارجية مهمات في سفارات بلادها في بيروت؛ إسلام اباد، باكستان؛ لواندا، أنغولا؛ وبريتوريا، جنوب أفريقيا. كما تم تعيينها في مكتب الأمين العام لحلف شمال الأطلسي في بروكسل، بلجيكا. كما عملت أيضاً كمسؤول كبير في وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية ومجلس الأمن القومي ومكتب نائب الرئيس بحيث شملت مهامها في واشنطن: مديرة مكتب INL لأفريقيا والشرق الأوسط، كبيرة مستشاري جنوب ووسط آسيا في مكتب نائب الرئيس، مدير مجلس الأمن القومي لشؤون الشرق الأوسط، نائب مدير مكتب الشؤون الكندية، ضابطة سياسية وعسكرية الخاصة بإسرائيل وفلسطين في مكتب شؤون الشرق الأدنى (وهذا ما يؤكد شدّة ارتباطها بالكيان المؤقت خاصةً وأنها تولت أيضاً منصب المساعدة الخاصة لممثل الخاص بخطة دايتون)، وضابط مراقب في مركز العمليات.
_توصف بأن لديها جدارة وخبرة واسعة في قيادة فرق مشتركة بين الوكالات وخبرة في إدارة الأزمات.
_انضمت إلى السلك الدبلوماسي في العام 1992. وقبل انضمامها كانت متدربة في الإدارة الرئاسية في وزارة البحرية، ومحللة للشؤون الخارجية في خدمة أبحاث الكونغرس.

إذا تم التأكيد لي، فسيشرفني أن أعود إلى لبنان، حيث تشرفت بالخدمة من 2002 إلى 2004. خلال تلك الفترة، لقد اكتسبت إعجاباً عميقاً بحيوية الشعب اللبناني، وتقديرًا واقعيًا للتحديات التي يواجهها، بما في ذلك الفساد المستشري والحكم السيئ، وتهديد حزب الله لسيادة بلادهم وأمنها.

الطريق إلى الأمام واضح: يجب على لبنان انتخاب رئيس وتشكيل حكومة ذات صلاحيات وتنفيذ إصلاحات طال انتظارها. إذا تم التأكيد، فإنني أتطلع إلى استمرار الجهود الأمريكية لدعم لبنان حكومة وشعباً في كل خطوة على الطريق.
إنني ممتن للغاية لدعم الكونغرس من الحزبين، للقوات المسلحة اللبنانية وقوى الأمن الداخلي كشركاء موثوقين في الحفاظ على استقرار لبنان وأمنه. منذ عام 2006، قدمنا أكثر من 3 مليارات دولار من المساعدات، مما مكن هذه القوات من تعزيز سيادة لبنان، وتخفيف عدم الاستقرار، وتعطيل الإرهابيين، ومواجهة رواية حزب الله الزائفة بأن أسلحته ومقاتليه غير المشروعة ضرورية للدفاع عن لبنان. في الوقت نفسه، نظل ملتزمين بمهمة اليونيفيل وسلامة قوات حفظ السلام التابعة للأمم المتحدة، الذين يلعبون دورًا حاسمًا في نزع فتيل التوترات في جنوب لبنان.
وأشعر بالارتياح أيضًا للمساعدة الإنمائية الكبيرة التي تقدمها الولايات المتحدة للشعب اللبناني. في العام الماضي، قدمنا أكثر من 100 مليون دولار لدعم القطاع الخاص، وتعزيز تقديم الخدمات، وتحسين الوصول إلى التعليم. كما قدمنا أكثر من 400 مليون دولار من المساعدات الإنسانية للفئات الأكثر ضعفاً، بما في ذلك اللاجئين السوريين واللبنانيين المستضعفين.
